Demystifying Creator Tiers

ShopMy Creator Tiers: What They Are and How to Think About Them

Creator tiers is a topic that comes up regularly with creators at every stage, and for good reason. Our creator tiers give you a clear signal of where you stand, give brands a way to identify active, rising, and top-performing creators, and enable you to unlock more of what ShopMy has to offer as you grow. There's a lot of great information available on how the scoring works and what drives your tier. This piece focuses on the foundation behind all of it: what our creator tiers represent, why they exist, and how to think about them so that everything else you do on the platform has a clearer purpose behind it.

Why they exist

Creator tiers exist to recognize and reward your performance as it develops, from setting up your account and building a linking habit, to driving consistent traffic and converting sales. The Creator Tiers reflect your growth and unlock more of the platform as your audience and your strategy develop. As you move through them, ShopMy rewards that progress in three concrete ways: small cash bonuses when you hit each new tier, access to more platform features and brand tools, and deeper support from the ShopMy team at the highest levels. ShopMy is built for creators at every stage, and the creator tiers are how that support scales with you.

What each tier represents

Each creator tier corresponds to a stage of your growth on ShopMy. Not your tenure on the platform or your follower count, but the depth of your audience's trust in your product recommendations as demonstrated by how well you perform with brands across the platform.

  • Enthusiast: You're just getting started. The focus is on getting setup and oriented with the ShopMy platform.
  • Ambassador: Your audience trusts your product advice and is beginning to act on it consistently. This is where your linking strategy starts to matter. How you share links and the cadence of it directly affects whether those clicks turn into conversions.
  • Trendsetter: That trust is consistent and proven at volume. You're among less than 5% of creators on the platform, with a loyal audience that converts on your recommendations reliably. Getting here requires sustained monthly sales, not a single strong week. Reaching Trendsetter is also the goal behind our Accelerator Program, designed to help you build the habits that get you there and carry that momentum to the next level.
  • Icon: You're operating at the highest level of creator performance on ShopMy, consistently sharing with an audience that clicks, converts, and buys at scale.

Once you move past Enthusiast, your score is weighted heavily on traffic and order volume, 25 and 50 points, respectively. The system is designed to measure audience trust through conversion. The higher your creator tier, the more your audience trusts your recommendations and acts on them.

How the scoring reflects that journey

75% of your score is outcome-based. It reflects results, not behaviors you can control day to day. The remaining 25% rewards setup and linking consistency. That gap between the behaviors within reach and the outcomes the score primarily measures is exactly why the Accelerator Program exists. It's the coaching layer that helps creators build the habits that lead to the traffic and sales reflected in their score.

The progression maps directly to the score: get set up, build a consistent linking habit, drive traffic as your audience starts clicking, then convert at scale. Each stage builds the foundation for the next. The habits have to be there to sustain the outcome.

How to think about where you are

Your creator tier tells you where you are. It doesn't always tell you what to do next. That's the honest reality of any recognition system - it measures output more than it coaches behavior. What it can do is give you a map.

If you're at Enthusiast, the job getting set up and starting to share. If you're at Ambassador, the job is building consistency by sharing more direct links regularly in the categories your audience responds to. If you're working toward Trendsetter, the focus is on identifying what's actually converting and doubling down until that volume is consistent month over month. This is also the genesis behind the launch of our Accelerator Program, designed to help you reach Trendsetter and build momentum toward Icon status. If you're at Icon, the job is sustaining and optimizing what already works.

Think about your creator tier as a reflection of the relationship you've built with your audience and a signal of how much more is possible as that relationship keeps deepening. The features, the brand access and the cash rewards are the byproduct of building something real with your audience. Your creator tier just recognizes it.
