How can we help?

How can I increase my score or level-up my Creator Tier?

Tips to help grow your Creator Score, with a focus on driving more traffic and turning those clicks into orders

There are many factors that impact your score and Creator Tier on ShopMy. Below are concrete steps you can take — organized from the fastest wins to the levers that move your score the most.

Quick Win: Complete Your Profile - 10 Points

This is the easiest points you'll ever earn. Knock these out first:

  • Add a profile photo
  • Add a bio
  • Create and share your first link
  • Add a Collection (a themed group of links)
  • Connect at least one social media account — this also increases your visibility to brands, since they can see when you tag or mention them on social

Stay Active

Consistency matters as much as any single action. As you post content on social, get in the habit of pairing it with a link: share the products you're talking about, build a Collection around questions your audience asks you, or turn a post into something shoppable.

Make link creation effortless:

  • Install Snapshop — our browser extension lets you create links and add to Collections right from a retailer's page, with commission rates across 50,000+ retailer partners. No need to leave the site you're shopping on.
  • Download the ShopMy app (currently iOS only) — the easiest way to grab links on the go and quickly copy ones you've already created to share on social.

Drive Traffic - The Biggest Lever You Control

Monthly Traffic and Monthly Order Volume together make up the majority of your score, so this is where your time pays off most. Here's how top creators drive clicks on each platform:

Instagram

Instagram typically drives the most traffic, thanks to its multiple linking options.

  • Stories: The simplest way to drive traffic. Every time you post a story, link the item — the dress you're wearing, the lipstick you're using. Always add a caption that says why you liked it; context converts better than a bare link.
  • Shelves: Once Instagram is connected, pull any of your posts into a Shelf on your ShopMy page, then reshare it to your story with the relevant links attached using ShopMy's share feature.
  • Broadcast channels: Share every new Collection you build in your broadcast channel so followers always see your latest picks.
  • Link in bio: An easy, passive win. If you don't want ShopMy as your only bio link, use a service like KOMI to house multiple links.

YouTube

  • Remind viewers in the video itself to check the description for links — don't assume they already know.
  • Once YouTube is connected, pull your videos into a Shelf and build a Collection per video. Then go to Settings & Sharing > For YouTube > Sharing on Social > Link to All Products - Compact and copy all links straight into your description.
  • Add your ShopMy page link to every video description, not just the linked products — viewers often browse beyond what you featured.
  • Pin your best-performing link as the top comment once you see it's converting.
  • Go back and add links to older videos. Evergreen videos keep earning views long after they're posted, and many creators find their older catalog is a steady, low-effort income stream.

Newsletters

Newsletter writers consistently drive some of the highest-converting traffic on ShopMy.

  • Put links above the paywall. Build a hidden Collection per newsletter issue with every item you reference, then use Settings & Sharing > For YouTube > Sharing on Social > Link to All Products - Compact to copy all the links into a section at the top of your post.
  • Lead with free posts, especially early on — wider reach while you're growing your list means more affiliate income overall.
  • Make links unmissable: put the link directly under any photo of the item, and hyperlink it every time you mention it, not just the first time.

TikTok

TikTok restricts in-post linking more than other platforms, but there are still real levers:

  • Link your ShopMy page in your bio (directly, or through a service like KOMI).
  • When a video is about a specific product or range, temporarily swap your bio link to that product or Collection and say so in the video — since TikTok videos can go more viral than other formats, this can drive a real traffic spike.
  • Use ShopMy discount codes. They're link-less and cookie-less, so a shopper can use the code with no link at all and you still get credit for the sale — ideal for TikTok's linking limits.

Turn Clicks Into Orders

Traffic only helps your score if it converts — and Monthly Order Volume is the single heaviest-weighted category, so this is worth extra attention:

  • Recommend what you'd actually buy. Genuine, specific recommendations convert far better than a wide net of random products.
  • Time posts around when people are ready to buy — paydays, restocks, and sale events (Black Friday, back-to-school, holiday gifting) all lift conversion, not just clicks.
  • Repost what's already working. If a link is converting well, feature it again in a story, a newsletter callout, or a pinned comment instead of letting it fade after one post.
  • Give a reason to act now — mention when something is low in stock, on sale, or a limited restock. Urgency moves clicks into orders.
  • Diversify across price points and retailers. A mix of accessible and aspirational picks means more of your audience can convert, which helps your monthly average.
💡

Good to know: Your Monthly Traffic and Monthly Order Volume scores are both calculated as a 3-month rolling average — so a single great week won't move your tier overnight, but steady, consistent activity will.
