Your shop is built from three layers:
- Sections: The tabs across the top of your shop
- Collections: Curated groups of products within each Section
- Links: The individual products inside each Collection
You can add, organize, and rearrange each of these layers to create a storefront that feels like you.
Adding links to your Shop within the App
To begin, tap the + button at the bottom of the screen. From there, you can add a product in several ways:
- Paste a product URL
- Copy the product URL from the retailer’s website.
- Remove everything after the ? in the URL.
- Select Add by URL and paste the link.
- ShopMy will automatically pull in the product image and title. If they don’t populate, you can upload an image and enter or adjust the title manually.
- Search the catalog
- Tap Catalog.
- Search for the product by name or brand.
- Select the item you want to add.
- Tap the three dots to edit the title, choose a shade or variant when available, and add your own description.
- Save the link to the Collection of your choice.
- Browse a retailer’s website
- Select Websites.
- Search for the brand you’d like to browse.
- Choose the brand, then tap Search Website.
- Find the product you want to share and open its product page.
- Tap Create Link.
- Use one of your existing links
- Tap My Links.
- Find the product and tap the three dots.
- Select Edit Link.
- Choose Move to Collection or Duplicate to Collection.
- Select the Collection where you’d like the link to appear.
If you’ve already created a link for a product, you can add it to another Collection without starting from scratch:
Duplicating a product across Collections creates a separately tracked link for each placement, allowing you to see how the product performs in each Collection.
Create a standalone link
Don’t want to add a product to a Collection yet? Create a standalone link from the Links tab. You can decide later where, or whether, it belongs in your shop.
Switch retailers on an existing link
If the same product is available from another retailer with a better commission rate, you can update the retailer without recreating the link:
- Open the link from your Links tab.
- Tap Edit.
- Select See other retailers beneath the current commission rate.
- Choose the retailer you want to use.
Your existing link will update automatically.
Adding links to your Shop Using ShopMy's Mobile Extensions
ShopMy offers three iOS tools for creating commissionable links directly from a retailer’s product page: Mobile Snapshop, the iOS Safari Extension, and the Mobile Keyboard.
These tools allow you to create ShopMy links while browsing or creating content without navigating back to the ShopMy app first.
Mobile Snapshop
Mobile Snapshop works through your phone’s share sheet:
- Make sure your ShopMy app is up to date.
- Open a product page and tap the Share button.
- Select ShopMy. If you don’t see it, tap More.
- Customize your link and tap Create Link.
- Copy the link or add it to a Collection.
iOS Safari Extension
The iOS Safari Extension allows you to create ShopMy links without leaving your browser:
- Open a product page in Safari.
- Tap the ShopMy logo that appears on your screen.
- Create your link.
- Add it to the Collection of your choice.
Mobile Keyboard
The Mobile Keyboard allows you to insert ShopMy links while creating content:
- Tap the + button as if you’re about to create a link.
- Go to Extensions → Mobile Keyboard.
- Follow the setup instructions to add the ShopMy keyboard in your iOS settings.
- Once enabled, use the keyboard to add an existing link or create a new one directly within your content.
All three tools create the same commissionable ShopMy links you’d create in the app, they simply make the process faster on mobile.
Create and Organize Collections
Collections group related products together, making it easier for shoppers to browse your recommendations by category or theme.
Create a Collection
- From My Shop, tap the + button at the bottom of the screen.
- Select New Collection.
- Choose the Section where you’d like the Collection to live, or create a new Section.
- Give the Collection a clear, specific name, such as Fall Outerwear or Under-$50 Skincare.
- Choose whether to publish it immediately or keep it hidden while you build it.
Hide a Collection
Hidden Collections are helpful when you’re preparing something that isn’t ready to go live, such as a seasonal edit, gift guide, or upcoming newsletter.
A hidden Collection will remain in your shop but won’t appear on your public storefront.
To hide a Collection:
- Tap the three dots beneath the Collection.
- Select Hide Collection.
Add and Organize Sections
Sections are the tabs across the top of your shop. They help your audience navigate between broader categories, such as Beauty, Home, Kids, or OOTD.
Add a Section
- Go to My Shop.
- Scroll across the Section tabs at the top until you see the + icon.
- Choose a recommended template or create a Custom Section.
- Give the Section a clear name your audience will easily recognize.
Rearrange Your Shop
Once your Sections and Collections are in place, you can change their order at any time.
Reorder Sections
- Go to My Shop.
- Tap the settings icon next to the last tab in your lineup.
- From there, you can add, remove, rename, or drag your Sections into a new order.
The first Section is what shoppers see by default when they visit your main shop URL, so lead with your strongest or most timely content.
Reorder Collections
- Open the Section containing the Collection.
- Press and hold the Collection you want to move.
- Drag it into your preferred position.
Place the Collections you most want shoppers to see first.
Reorder Products
- Open the Collection you want to edit.
- Drag and drop products into your preferred order.
Consider prioritizing bestsellers, new additions, seasonal products, or anything else you’re actively featuring.
Archive or Delete a Collection
If a Collection isn’t currently relevant but you may want to use it again, archive it instead of deleting it.
To archive a Collection:
- Tap the three dots beneath the Collection.
- Select Archive.
Archived Collections can be restored later without rebuilding them.
Preview Your Shop
Before sharing your shop, or after making changes, preview it from your audience’s point of view:
- Go to My Shop.
- Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner.
- Select View as Public.
This will show you exactly what is visible to shoppers and how your shop is organized.
Hidden Collections and unpublished Sections won’t appear on your public storefront. If something is missing, check its visibility settings.
We recommend previewing your shop whenever you make changes. It’s the easiest way to catch a hidden Collection, misplaced product, or out-of-order Section before your audience does.
