What is the Safari extension?
The Safari extension lets you create a ShopMy link directly from any recognized product page in Safari, without switching over to the ShopMy app. When you land on a supported product page, a ShopMy pill appears showing your live commission rate. From there, you can create your link right on the page, and even turn it into shareable content in one tap.
Is this available on Android or desktop?
Not currently. The Safari extension is iOS only, built specifically for mobile Safari.
How is this different from Snapshop?
Snapshop works by tapping the share button on a product page, scrolling to find ShopMy, tapping it, then waiting for your link before picking an image or filing it into a collection. The Safari extension is different in three key ways:
- A built-in reminder. Your rate shows up automatically on every recognized product page, so you're never left wondering if there's an earning opportunity you're missing.
- Less friction. Hold the pill and your link is made instantly, less steps, more linking.
- Wider merchant support. It works on more sites than Snapshop could reach, including some that used to block Snapshop entirely.
Does this replace Snapshop?
Snapshop still works if you’re using a mobile browser other than Safari. If you are browsing on Safari, this extension is a meaningfully easier way to link on supported sites: wider merchant coverage, instant linking with just a hold, and rate reminders that show up automatically so you always know what’s commissionable.
Does my commission rate change based on using the extension?
No. The rate shown on the pill is your existing commission rate with that brand, the same rate you'd see anywhere else in the app.
What if the pill doesn't show up on a page I'd expect it to?
Pill coverage is still expanding across merchant sites. If you don't see it on a product page, you can always create your link the usual way in the ShopMy app.
Getting Started
How do I turn on the Safari extension?
- Update your ShopMy app to the latest version
- Go to iOS Settings —> Apps —> Safari
- Scroll and tap Extensions —> ShopMy
- Toggle Allow Extensions and In Private Browsing
- Scroll and set All Websites to Allow
Do I need to log in again once it's on?
No. Once enabled, the extension automatically authenticates using your existing ShopMy app login, no separate sign-in required.
Which product pages will show the pill?
The pill appears on recognized merchant product pages. Coverage is expanding over time, so it may not appear on every site yet.
How It Works
How do I create a link?
You have two options:
- Hold the ShopMy pill and your link is created instantly, no image or caption required.
- Tap the pill instead if you want more control, like selecting an image, adding a caption, or filing it into a collection.
What happens after I create a link?
A confirmation card appears with options to copy or share the link, open ShopMy or continue browsing.
Can I file my link into a collection?
Yes. When you tap the pill (rather than hold), you'll see your 3 most recently updated collections for quick filing, or you can search for any collection.
Can I turn my link into content to post?
Yes. After your link is created, tap the share icon to instantly generate ready-to-post templates for Instagram, so your find becomes shareable content instantly.
