This is a one-time setup that connects your Meta partnership permissions so you can enable Spotlight partnerships and start earning from your content.
Before following these steps, please make sure your Instagram account is fully connected in your Account Settings. If you run into any issues connecting it, click HERE for troubleshooting.
- Go to the Partner section in the ShopMy app and navigate to the Spotlights tab.
- You'll see a pop-up prompting you to connect your Meta partnership permissions. Click Next.
- Select Send DM to Instagram.
- Once you click Send DM to Instagram, you'll get a notification directly in the Instagram app.
- Open that notification - you'll see a request to allow partnership apps. Click View Request, then select Allow.
- Head back to the ShopMy app and click I've Accepted. ShopMy will verify the connection on the backend.
- Once the connection is confirmed, you'll see a green checkmark. Click Continue.
- Choose your preferred permission levels and accept the Spotlight terms.
You're all set! You can now start receiving and managing Spotlight requests.
Having trouble connecting?
If you run into issues completing the Meta partnership connection (e.g., the "Send DM to Instagram" step doesn't go through, or you don't receive the partnership request notification), try using this direct link instead:
Open the link, and if prompted, tap Yes to accept the partnership request.
