Opportunities FAQ
Opportunities is an exciting feature designed to simplify the process for creators, eliminating the hassle of complex deliverables while providing a stable source of affiliate earnings.
What Is Opportunities?
Opportunities is ShopMy’s latest feature that allows brands to reward creators with a flat-rate bonus in addition to commission earnings in exchange for posting organic content, attending events, or linking to products. With opportunities, there is no approval cycle and you receive immediate payment upon completing the expectations.
Brands can offer three types of Opportunities:
- Bonus Opportunities: These campaigns form the core of ShopMy’s Opportunities, offering creators complete creative freedom. They are flexible campaigns where the brand sets expectations, such as posting five links within 30 days.
- Promotional Opportunities: This style focuses on specific events, like product launches or sales. These opportunities typically have tighter timelines and specific guidelines regarding the products that can be promoted.
- Event Opportunities: These experiential opportunities involve invitations to exclusive brand events. They could include attending a branded dinner, participating in a brand trip, or visiting a pop-up.
How Opportunities Benefit Creators
Opportunities provides simplicity and flexibility, allowing you to engage with your audience authentically. They also ensure consistent earnings by guaranteeing a flat rate alongside any commissions from links you already plan to share. By participating in Opportunities, you can build long-term relationships with brands, turning your earnings into a reliable income stream.
Additionally, you can set a percentage for managers to take from any Opportunities, streamlining the division of earnings and reducing unnecessary back-and-forth.
How to Complete an Opportunity
- You will receive a notification about the offered Opportunity.
- Navigate to the Opportunities tab to view all your past and current Opportunities.
- Click on the Opportunity to review the expectations and bonus offered.
- Choose to “Accept Opportunity” or “Dismiss.”
- If accepted, you’ll be directed to the “Progress and Payment” page, where you can track your expectations and progress. ShopMy automatically monitors your links and social posts, so there’s no need to upload content.
- After completing all expectations, the brand will review your work to ensure you met the expectations. They can set a review period, typically under 7 days.
- Once the review period is complete, your payment will be added to your earnings.
