How can we help?

A retailer was listed as commissionable, but I did not earn. What happened, and why is my order missing?

Common reasons for missing orders.

Although tracking issues occasionally contribute to missing orders, missing orders are usually due to certain situations on the customer's side. Some common examples include:

  • Attribution to another channel: If a shopper interacts with another affiliate link or another marketing channel (such as paid search, social media ads, or email), after clicking your link but before completing their purchase, the credit may go to that source.
  • Device switching: If a shopper switches devices during their purchase (for example, moving from a phone to a computer), this can impact tracking.
  • Use of promo codes: If a shopper applies a promo code from another affiliate when purchasing through your link, the order may be credited to the promo code's affiliate instead. Additionally, some retailers do not offer commission when promo codes are used.
  • Coupon browser extensions: Extensions like Honey, Ibotta, or Rakuten Rewards can disrupt tracking if they are used or clicked during the transaction.
  • Purchases made in mobile apps: Most merchants can track purchases made on their mobile websites, but some may not track purchases made in their apps.
  • Non-Commissionable Items: Some brands have product or category restrictions, in which they commission at 0%.
  • Link is Not Correctly Formatted: If other parameters are present within your original link, sales may be attributed elsewhere and you may not receive credit for the transaction.

Please note that these are just a few examples, and specific circumstances may vary. We always recommend checking the disclaimer to view if a brand has any non-commissionable items or earning restrictions. You can do this by hovering over the “i” icon next to the commission rate.
