Our best earners on ShopMy are always using it to make their social content shoppable. In addition to referencing your items and lists, you can also embed content onto a collection, and make shoppable grids.
To make a shoppable post, first create a collection as you normally would. At the top of a collection, you have the option to either upload an image or video, or add a social link.
When you upload a photo, it will appear at the top of your collection, and your collection will convert to a shoppable post collection and you’ll find it under the posts tab at the top of your page. If you don’t want this to appear as a shoppable post and instead would rather have it as a collection on your main page, just go to “Settings & Links” at the top of your collection and toggle the Collection Type from Shelf to Post.
You can also embed a YouTube video at the top of your collection. Check out a few examples, here and here.
To embed a YouTube video, just visit the page of the video you’d like to add, take the link to that video, and paste it in at the top of your collection where it says “add social link.” The video will appear at the top of the collection.
We have a shortcut to add thumbnails of your TikTok posts. Just grab the link to the TikTok post, and paste it in at the top of the collection where it says “add social link,” and a cover image from that post will appear.
Note that when you add an Instagram or TikTok link, your collection will convert to a shoppable post and you’ll find it under the posts tab at the top of your page.
If you don’t want this to appear as a shoppable post and instead would rather have it as a shelf, just go to “Settings & Links” at the top of your collection and toggle the Collection Type from Collection to Post.
